The Ramsey Park runs are a series of handicapped
races held over the spring and summer at Mooragh Park in Ramsey. There are two
races to choose from, a 1 lap race (approximately 1.7 miles and a 3 lap race
(3.8 miles). There is also a short race for younger athletes consisting of a
loop around the lake.
The first run of the series is a straight race with finishing times determining the handicap of runners for the next race. As the series continues start times are based on the runner's fastest time. This gives raw beginners as much chance to win as the more seasoned athletes.
This year there are 5 races, held on either a Tuesday or Friday night with registration at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start by the Lakeside Cafe.
Dates:
The races start and finish by the Lakeside Cafe and follow a clockwise route around the park.
Prizes are awarded to the top 12 for the series in each event. The presentation will take place after the last race in the series.
