Excellent Results in Manx Mountain Marathon

Rosy Craine (Left) and Judith Quane in the 2012 Manx Mountain Marathon

There were some excellent performances from our athletes who covered the 31.5 miles from Ramsey to Port Erin via the island's peaks climbing a total of around 8000 feet. The course was made even more difficult with often boggy conditions underfoot and a strong headwind to contend with.

In particular, Northern athletes Judith Quane and Rosy Craine both finished on the podium taking 2nd and 3rd places in ladies race. Judith finised in a time of 6:47:55 with Rosy about a quarter of an hour behind clocking a time of 7:04:05.
